Call us at the earliest opportunity

If the police want to interview you under caution at the police station, a member of our team will assist you, giving you both legal advice before the interview, and representation in the interview.

If you have been already interviewed, it’s not too late to ask us to handle your case.

The Police Station & Investigation

The majority of alleged offences committed by individuals start at the police station. If the police are investigating you, we advise that you don’t proceed without independent legal advice.

At the police station, although the Police must advise of your right to have legal representation, they may also suggest that the matter would be dealt with more swiftly if you went into the interview alone. They may indicate that waiting for a lawyer to arrive could delay things, thus meaning you will spend longer in custody.

Ignore their suggestion and wait for Castle Solicitors to arrive.

By waiting for legal advice, you won’t make a tactical mistake that could negatively determine the outcome. By waiting for us to arrive, you could be stopping heartache and worry in the future.

Remember, if the police interview you under arrest, or as a volunteer, you are entitled to FREE ADVICE.

We advise that it’s best to get Castle Solicitors involved in your case at the earliest opportunity. To delay matters could be a tactical error.

Government Agencies

You may also be asked to attend an interview under caution by a government agency such as Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs or the Department of Work and Pensions. We can represent you FREE OF CHARGE.

The Magistrates & Youth Court

If you are charged with an offence, your matter will start at the Magistrates’ Court. Our solicitors attend these courts daily. Our experience means you will receive the very best advice as we guide you through this process.

The Magistrates’ Court deals with what are called summary only and either way offences. The majority of cases are heard from start to finish in the Magistrates’ Court.

All Crown Court cases will have the first hearing at the Magistrates’ Court.

We deal with both legal aid and privately funded clients at the Magistrates’ Court. Before your hearing, we will advise you as to your funding options.

The Crown Court

We deal with serious offences such as rape, manslaughter and rape in the Crown Court. These are known as indictable only cases. These are the most challenging of cases and require the very best legal minds. If your case is sent to the Crown Court, we will instruct a highly experienced barrister. We have links with Barristers Chamber’s both locally and nationally.

We hold a legal aid contract with the Legal Aid Agency. Most Crown Court cases are eligible for legal aid funding.
